Will my website address change?
No. Your domain and the public web address your visitors use both stay exactly as they are.
Will I lose website content?
No. Your pages, posts, images and database move across with the site. We take a backup before we start and keep your current setup in place until the new one is confirmed working.
Will my email move too?
No — email is a separate product and stays where it is. Moving your website does not touch your mailboxes. If you want to move your email as well, see Email & Office.
When does this happen?
At your next renewal, and only after we have confirmed the plan and the timing with you. We agree a window that suits you rather than moving your site in the middle of your working day.
What if a plugin is incompatible?
We check compatibility as part of the review, before anything moves. If something needs attention we tell you what we found and what the options are, so it is your decision rather than a surprise after the fact.
