Do you need to rebuild my website?
No. Managed Websites takes on the site you already have. We review it first and tell you if anything needs fixing before we start, but the design and content stay as they are unless you ask us to change them.
What counts as a content change?
Text edits, swapping images, adding a page, updating prices or contact details, publishing a post — the everyday changes a business needs. Larger pieces of work, like a new section or a redesign, are quoted separately, and we tell you before doing anything chargeable.
Do I have to move my hosting to Webdev?
The managed plans include hosting with us, which is how we can guarantee the backups and monitoring. If your site is hosted elsewhere, talk to us — we will tell you honestly whether moving it makes sense for your situation.
Do I lose control of my own website?
No. You keep administrator access and you own your domain, content and site. Managed Websites is a service you can stop, and if you do we hand everything over cleanly.
Is this required, or can I stay as I am?
It is entirely optional. You can carry on requesting fixes as you need them. Most customers move because the ad-hoc route ends up costing more over a year and leaves the site out of date between jobs.
What happens if my site breaks or gets hacked?
We restore from backup and investigate how it happened. That work is part of the plan rather than a separate emergency quote, which is the main reason customers move onto managed cover.
